2009 World Police and Fire Games: Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver: 31 July 2009 – 09 August 2009

The 13^TH WPFG was held at Vancouver, BC, this games are held every second year in 2007 the games were held in Australia, Adelaide.

This games are for the Law enforcement in the world such as the Police, Fireman, Corrections and Customs. Department of Correctional Services sends the National team of 140 participants including management for 2009 WPFG. The 2009 WPFG has attracted 10500 participants, 65 sporting code and 55 venues.

Correctional Services Martial Arts team had an opportunity to train with Kyoshi Shihan George Chan- KUYUKAI World Vice President and Canana/America Chief Instructor.

DCS 140 Team South Africa was captained by Shihan Humphrey Skosana and DCS Martial Arts team achieves the following.

• Humphrey Skosana > 2^nd Place Masters Kumite, 3^rd Place Snr Black Belt Kata, 3^RD Place Unison Kata & Team Kumite
• Jan Badenhorst > 3^RD Place Team & Unison Kata
• Ursula Skosana > 1^ST Place Ladies team Kumite & 3^RD Place ind Kumite
• Mantwa Motse > 1^ST Place Ladies team Kumite, 2^ND Place ind Kumite & 2^ND Place Unison Kata
• Gavin Dyers > 3^rd Place Open (Taekwondo)
• DCS Team South achieves 216 medals.
